tigers at the zoo
Old 18-05-2008

went to the zoo today for the first time in a couple of months and was sad to see that the young female looked skinny and not in peak condition. i was talking to someone who volunteers at the zoo and they said that she got very depressed after her mother left for western plains.

so this was just after the lion talk (which i didn't know they were now doing) , if you know the routine they bring bruiser up feed him, feed kunchi, johari and ??? gosh i can't remember the daughters name (help anybody?). then they go on to feed the tigers bringing them up then placing the meat into the enclosure and letting them eat it down there.

...

anyway the whole point of this thread was to comment on the new male

HE IS MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MUSCLE EVERYWHERE, she looks so tiny in comparsion.

anybody know where he is from?

panthera-leo

ps. got to see them feeding the two younger leopard seals. they were so responsive and active for their keepers
