Got a behind the scences look at the new GSO, they had probelms with tanks leeking so all animals were moved out. looks amazing, the old aquarium front is being used as the entrence / exit to the swim with the seals pool, ($80 for seal swim) 3 baby pelican brought in, also the 3 leopard seals are going to be housed together? comments please...

The moore park aviary now has palm squirrels (like 20), tree shrews, mandarin ducks and a java peahen in it.

bindi the young binturong died and the pair have two new babys

golden and fishingcats off exhibit (Old exhibits)??? porchipine sign up but off exhibit, languars also off exhibit ?

de brazzas are 36 and 28 years old? and have had 8 babys? here are they all? any other general news

mr hobbs the sun bear is infertile

birds in birdshow have been trained at the end of the show to take coins from guests and drop it in a coin box for conservation efforts. which was kool.

the elephants have an elephant show now! first one on sunday! its like an educational circus!!!!!!! they do tricks and twist words to make it sound natural.... anyways

Seen the Moore park avairy. It looks great.

What happened to the binturong?

Are you sure the langurs are off exhibit????
Sometimes they are hard to spot in that big enclosure.

i thought the Golden cat had movedto another facilty but i could be wrong. a for the fishing cats there move has been mentioned in some of the other threads but just breifly they dont live in the only jungle cats house any moe because tas devils are going in there.

Are there new binturong???? i know Indha(dont think spelling is right) was born last year but i didnt know that there were new babys and theres on mention of them on the zoos webite so i would love to hear more info on them!

also a lot of your other questions are answered in other taronga zoo threads so check them out

im a bit confused....is indah the binturong born in 2007 still alive and the female from this most recent litter is dead or did indah die as well as a new baby girl just leaving two male offspring????
please clarify

indah is the girl born in 2007 and im pretty sure shes still alive at least she was the other day.

i dont know anything about the three others Danale is talikng about but i guess if triplets were born this year that would explain the mystery babies on the ZOO this weekend?

well if he is saying that the girl died leaving the pair with 2 new babies then i am assuming that its he new girl that died. but im just going to stay quite now because my hsc induced bubble has ment im a bit behind on my zoo news!

ill see if i cant find out specific details on saturday night.

Hey guys spoke to keepers Inda (not binda sorry) did die... so i was told and the orignal parents of her had two new offspring, didnt catch the sex of them, could not see them on display....

im really sorry to hear that! Indah was a beautiful little girl and it was so exciting when she was born..

if the original parents have two new ofspring that still dosnt explain the triplets that were on the ZOO on sunday night. maybe i just imagined the third one..... im going to the zoo on sat so ill work it out then if i can
