Three M'sian Zoos Go On-line, Animal Lovers Can View From Home

Quote:
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Three leading local zoos have gone on-line, allowing animal lovers around the globe to view wildlife collections in Malaysia in real time.

Under the Zoo Alive project, the National Zoo in Hulu Klang on the fringe of the federal capital, Taiping Zoo and Melaka Zoo will operate a 24-hour live streaming where the public can view zoo activities on a web site from the comfort of their homes.

mmm... when I tried it, I got prompted for a username and password - and you don't seem to be able to register for a username and password.

If anyone gets this working - let us know how !

Malacca Zoo
Old 17-12-2004

If anyone goes to Malaysia , and visits the wonderful city of Malacca , I can recommend the zoo as being a reasonable zoo to visit . I was there about 10 years ago , and it was pretrty good then . ( most of ) the enclosures were of a decent size , and there was a lot of natural vegetation in them , and alot of trees throughout the whole zoo to keep people and animals shelter from the fierce afternoon sun . The zoo would be about the size of Melbourne Zoo in area
and is the second best zoo I have been to in Asia ( the best iI have seen in Asia is Singapore )
Apparently Taiping Zoo has undergone extensive improvements since I was there ( which is just as well , as it was a dump with small concrete cages etc)
so I cannot comment on its currrent state .
I didnt get to KL zoo . I have heard mixed reviews about it .
