Thank you very much for this list! I have only been to Zoo Negara (which I visited in January 2008 on my way from Australia three years ago) but I do hope to visit Malaysia again some day, in particular I'm interested in Melaka and Taiping Zoos!
thats good...do visit the aquaria klcc, underwater world langkawi and wildlife interactive zoo sunway lagoon and kl bird park...these are the best animal parks worth to visit.....
i think only 1 or 2...thats the maximum...if they have many of this rare species then the cost of maintenance are very high...it's a species which is difficult to maintain in captivity...and M'sia government wont put much effort to display this type of rare animals.....they are not concern about the animals but more to the costs...
I didn't even realise one of the aquariums had opened in KK! I must revisit. Here's a Wikipedia article about Green Connection [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Green_Connection[/ame] and their official website http://www.the-green-connection.com/green/ Kathir, do you have any knowledge of when the Borneo1 aquarium in KK will be opening?
there's a little free aquarium in the heart of Kuching by the museums. I don't know what it's real name is, I just call it the Kuching Aquarium. There are some photos in the Malaysian part of the gallery. There's also the Turn Red Mini Zoo at Bau (Sarawak). Haven't been there myself though.
Green Connection opened May 2010 yes. Do you know anything about a potential opening date for the 1Borneo Seaworld (inside the 1Borneo Hypermall just outside KK), which has been under construction for several years already?
i don't know about it chlidonias...there is no such information about the opening of the 1Borneo Seaworld...i try my best to look at it and give the info when i know it.....
As of June 2011, Saleng zoo was closed down...So it's been removed from the list of zoos in Malaysia.
