I expect nothing will happen, but if the world is going to end I hope Chester's mysterious ungulates arrive first. I'd hate to be anhiliated without knowing what they are.

It will take about two months for the things to collide, but I truely doubt we will all die, there is a small percentage, yes and most likely not going to happen. But you can't be completely adamant that we won't. Besides there was two other scandals that the world was going to end: According to the Bible 1959 was Armageddon and the Y2K error of 2000,

So in other wors in about 2 months the world is gonna panic again,

Funny thing about all of this.

We wont know if it has happened!

Speed of light and all.................

My science teacher went through this with me today...

I believe that the protons that they are trying to collide will take a very long time to reach full speed (around 2 months). They are trying to see what this will do when the protons collide. Apparently, atoms are made of protons, neutrons and electrons. The protons themselves are made of quarks. There are 16 types of quark and only 14 have been discovered. They are hoping with this experiment to try and find one of the others... One of the others is the Higgs boson which could have something to do with the force of gravity (which we still do not fully understand). But we won't know whether we have discovered this for another two years (roughly) while they are looking through the other particles...

I think it was steven hawking who said that a black hole would be created, but it would only survive for a matter of milliseconds as there would be no mass to sustain it...

I don't think we'll die though...

If only 14 types of quark have been discovered, how does someone know that there are 16?

I really don't know about the quarks, it's just a theory I suppose...

It's going t be interesting to see what will happen in the end...

I guess if it does happen then fear will not be present in many and besides the whole 6.5 billion of us in the world will go, It is hard to explain what I mean, sorry,
