Have any of you done the google earth day quiz? You just answer six semi-weird questions and it tells you what animal you are most like!

I got pangolin and google told me that I'm "The practical sort, you know just when to curl up into a ball to thwart predators.".

There are also cute little drawings of the animals (I did it again with random questions to see what other animals there were).

Just type "earth day quiz" into google (without the quotation marks).

So what animals did you guys get?

Conversely, I am "a giant squid! You can achieve anything to which you put your mind and/or your massive tentacles."

The colour of it's tongue was wrong, although it was quite creative.

The tongue colour looked pretty spot on, to me :p

It's amazing how far animation technologies have come these past few years.

I would think so if they're your photos of your animals. There might be a "pets" section or something you could post in, too.

In February, I went on safari in Tanzania. When I was there I asked the guide a few times what subspecies the animals we saw were. One of the people who went on the trip with me decided that this was hilarious so whenever he sees me he points at something (wall, ceiling, staircase, book etc.) and asks "what subspecies of X is this?"

It's been four months and he's done it every single time he sees me. When will it end?!

    :p

Actually laughingdoveius has been elevated to full species status: Nonseneus laughingdoveiensis.

Yes... on a side note, Nonsenseus postus thylacinealiveus has recently been considered an invalid taxon. Splitters! :p
