hard to raise in captivity eh? our zoos don't seem to have too many problems!

That article has changed. I'm sure it also said that there were only 40 or so in captivity! I remember reading it and thinking - "Yeah in Canada maybe"
Certainly it seems that every zoo in Aussie has its pair of new borns every summer.
