Bird Discovery Centre

For those who have visited Jurong Bird Park before, you may remember the old indoor hummingbird gallery at Jungle Jewels. After the gallery closed in the early 2000s it was left vacant for a few years.
In January 2009, the gallery was re-opened as the Bird Discovery Centre. The 12 indoor aviaries were refitted as diaoramas, featuring different aspects of birds such as physiology, diet and life cycle. There are also static displays of an elephant bird fossil replica, a hornbill nest and bird eggs.
