Hi everyone, I'm heading over to Singapore in a couple of days and I'm really looking forward to going to the zoo. I was just wondering if you guys could recommend your favourite things to see or do there. I know that the orangs are a definite must see, but what else is there. Thanks :p

Basically everything is must see! Apart from the Orangs, definitely don't miss the Proboscis Monkeys (two exhibits), Douc Langurs (an island) and the Critter's Longhouse (small mammals). All these are clearly shown on the map, so you shouldn't be able to miss them. In fact if you go down all the paths shown on the map you should see everything, but there are some free-ranging primates that might be harder to spot.

Are you going to any of the other zoos in Singapore? River Safari and Night Safari are adjacent to the Zoo, doing the latter after the Zoo is possible, but its a long, hot day. Better than missing it though. Jurong Bird Park is also amazing, and the new SEA Aquarium on Sentosa Island is supposed to be very impressive.

    Thanks for the info zooboy28

Free ranging primates? Sounds amazing... must rmember to keep an eye out for those.

Will be going to both the River Safari and Night Safari. Is there anything at these zoos to look out for?

I'm going with family and friends and I have a feeling they are going to get over me taking my photos. When I went to Melbourne Zoo earlier this year my family gave up walking around so I just left them behind and did half the zoo by myself.

there are reaonably recent (mid-2014) reviews from myself of the River Safari, Night Safari, SEA Aquarium, and Jurong Bird Park in the Singapore forum which probably cover most of what you will see.

Yes, doing River Safari and Night Safari along with a visit to the Zoo is a great option for those who are in Singapore for a short duration and are pressed for the time. Personally, I would like to do them separately to enjoy each of them thoroughly.
