I'm from The Netherlands
Old 18-05-2008

Hello

I'm Jordy from the netherlands. Trebaruna told me about this forum a while back. I allready know a couple of other members as well, Untbwe, Jwer and Blackstar. You know my foto's already, Trebaruna showed them in the Burgers' Zoo thread I wil introduce to you the Dutch zoos, and some German an Belgium zoos.

I'm 15 years old and I go to school(third year). I live in ''Helmond'', in the south of Holland.

I Visit about 50 zoos a year. My favourites are Rotterdam, Kerkrade, Hannover and many more. This summer I'll visit Berlin(Tierpark and Zoo), Bazel, Frankfurt and Amneville.

BTW: I love giraffes and other hoofed animals.

Wow, the Netherlands has such a vast zoo community and the best zoos I have ever seen (Rotterdam and Burgers)

I am seriously considering moving there in a few years. Dutch and danish have many gramatic similarities, so it woulden't the hardest language to learn from scratch. Also, I have fallen completely in love with the city of Amsterdam.

All your "Dutchies" are just so lucky!

Amsterdam is the place to be (or was?). And you can visit the oldest zoo of The Netherlands: Artis.

Artis is a nice Zoo, but many old cages and tiny exibiths.
If we put Copenhagen Zoo in Holland, are you sadifice?
(Greetings to Lien en Jeanet, the Giraffe girls in Copenhagen.)

To be honest I would rather take with me Odense Zoo, Randers Regnskov Tropical Zoo and Ree Park - Ebeltoft Safari! But let's throw in Chieng Mai and Polo the hippo from Copenhagen too

The two dutch giraffe ladies are doing great. They have really brought a lot of energi to the new savannah, since they are still young and very playfull

How is Polo doing? He visited Emmen last year and has left two babies (actually three, but one died recently). He is a giant hippo.

He is such a huge hippo! He is enjoying his new enclosure very much indeed along with his to dutch females. The hippos have just started using their outdoor enclosure as well.

He mated with both females only three days after the arrival to Copenhagen, and has done so several times since. We are now expecting two new hippo calves sometime in June.

Wish i had a better welcoming, 嗨我应该得到某些中国人 nah i'm just kidding (not much malay-chinese here). The "dutchies" give out the most interesting information.

@hupie: 取笑力量!(kid power) hope you find many interestings facts here.
