meet the bully
Old 31-12-2007

hello there,

it's time for you to meet the bully.

why that name? well, it's simple. on several other fora, I'm logged in under my own name: Svenneke (which translates as "little sven")
but on my own forum on zoosite.nl, I and some others, have developed a reputation for being bullies. this due to our-on-the-edge discussing-abilities.

but other than that, I am a rather nice guy.
very into reptiles and fish. (with a special passion for treeboas and sharks)
I have kept and bred several species (still do for that matter)

also on professional level animals take a big part in my life. I work in a big petshop and on the side I do some consultancy on aquarium/terrarium for private people and zoos.

I think that's about it. any questions?

the question is a lot shorter than the answer.
but to give you a general idea:
freshwaterfish: I've got a thing for south america. I bred several geophagus and cichlasoma species (all cichlids). at the moment I only have heros severum and geophagus brasiliensis, but I don't want to breed them. I am trying to breed my arowanas though. I've had some mating behaviour, but so far no eggs. I also have freshwaterstingray. but only a male, I'm looking for the same species female.
marine: I've kept octopus, bambooshark, moray eel, scorpionfish and several reef fish species (e.g. surgeonfish, triggerfish, ...) at the moment I don't have a marine system due to lack of space
reptiles: over the years I've kept and bred several colubrid snakes (small constrictors like ratsnakes, milksnakes, ...) and also boids like garden treeboa, ballpython, carpetpython,...) at the moment I have 4 species of ratsnake that I keep and breed and 3 boa species of which my favorite is the emerald treeboa. It's my goal to breed those too, but the animals are to young at the moment.

hope this gives you an idea. I tried not to get too technical with latin names and all that.
