I'm tracking the history of the bull moose, "Chocolate," who became the iconic animal of Northwest Trek park, near Tacoma, Washington, USA. He arrived at the park Nov. 23, 1971 from somewhere in Alberta, Canada. And there's the mystery: Our records say "Calgary zoo" [note lower case] and "Calgary Game Farm." The zoo is not able to confirm that he was purchased from them ($700 was the price). And I can't find a "Calgary Game Farm." Perhaps it was the Alberta Game Farm, now defunct? Can anyone from Alberta, Canada, shed light on this? The reason for my interest is that I'm writing a children's non-fiction book on the moose. Thanks all, Connie Hellyer (Jr.)
