Home to an ageing pair. A new Polar Bear enclosure is currently being planned.

It will then continue the great French tradition of excellent Polar Bear exhibits; I understand several regional zoos have built very good such exhibits in the past 10-15 years, even if I have myself only seen the outdated ones in Mulhouse and at Vincennes before it closed.

@Baldur: I'm absolutely agree. Good examples to that point are La Flèche or Amnéville.

Actuxally, the best enclosure for polar bears in our country is the Safari de Peaugres's one. It's juste a gigantic natural forest with a large pool. But you're right, the ehibits in la Flèche and Amnéville are quite recent and modern.
In Mulhouse, the new exhibit is planned for 2012.

Yes, forgot the one in Peaugres. Very good for the bears, but unfortunately for the visitiors, the mesh fence and the circumstance, that you must stay in your car, are disturbing the view at the animals (at least at my visit there).
