Annual report for FY 2014 might get publicised only around June/July 2015.

As I understand it, they keep a single species but it is unclear whether this taxon is Dorcopsis hageni or Dorcopsis muelleri.

I am by no means knowledgeable on the topic, but based on Google images, the two above mentioned taxa look fairly different. At least enough so that it would be possible to tell them apart:confused:

Bear in mind if you search Google Images for Dorcopsis muelleri, the first half-dozen images are all of Prague's Dorcopsis. ;)

The species I saw in 2013 was definitely the brown taxa, but I wonder if they have acquired some more?

Zootierliste appears to show Prague's Inventory at 31st December 2014. They show a single female Dorcopsis hageni which , if I am reading the data correctly , was previously identified as Dorcopsis muelleri .

There is nothing too serious yet. The current zoo director has PLANS for panda. When the polar bears have a new enclosure, then the old polar bear enclosure should be renovated to house giant panda. But this is not something that will happen in the near future.

When I was in pilsen they had a checkered elephant shrew! Are you sure the berlin animal didn't go there?
