The Espace Zoologique de la Boissière du Doré (44 - France), has one of the biggest groups of Sumatran Orang-utans (Pongo abelii) in France. The dominant male, Major, aged 46, is one of the oldest specimen in Europe. There are regular births, like Jari (a male), born in March 2007. They live with a family of white-handed gibbons on a large grassy island with ropes, climbing structures rocks...
