Valencia Bioparc
Old 09-06-2008

Just posted som photos of the new zoo in Valencia. A fabulous experience, I now have an annual pass that cost me 40€, bargain!, to allow free access until May next year. Expect some more pics.
Not sure how to link this to the gallery so I´ve attached some to here. Look under other zoo´s Valencia Bioparc in the gallery.

I´d be interested in you comments on the zoo and some of the shots soon to be posted.
Cheers

Pete

Great photos of Valencia's new zoo! The enclosures look very large and well-planted, so perhaps we'll all wait and see how they look a few years from now once the hoofstock have trampled most of the grass. It must be nice to live so close to a revamped zoo...

Looking through the gallery and saw a picture of a spot necked otter, how many are at the park?
Are these the only ones in Europe?

First copulation or copula my translator say "is the same" of white rhinos in the Bioparc "Cirilo" male had mount, the male "Cirilo" mounted to one of the females. Today press notice in local news paper. Only available in spanish, sorry. But it´s a great news I think.

I took this photo at the bioparc on 22nd July, also in reply to previous posts I´ve attached some shots of the gorillas and their enclosure which also contains some Sitatunga, seen in the foreground.

Yeh, no problem Mario, I´ve taken over 2000 so far as I visit there nearly every week. It might take me a while to sort them out and process them as they are all in RAW format but i´ll convert the best and post them asap.

Pete.

Congratulations for the pics especially the WR copula pic, but my question is, it´s your pic and the news paper pic exactly the same ?

P.S: see the gallery for owl-faced guenons pics
