It reminds me of Federation Square in Melbourne.

God in a place that seems to pride itself on crappy mock rock this has to be the worst effort ever. Any idea what it is supposed to symbolize?

Let me suggest that the architect was drunk and the people giving thumbs up to the blueprints were high on something....

A monster of a building from an architectural point of view, but seriously... maybe it is good (indoors) design for the animals and then it is OK with me.

But I have never seen anything more ugly.

Is that meant to be an elephant skin texture on the walls?

Such an eyesore...

Am I the only one that thinks it looks good. It's only the outside and
Taronga is so lush that in a few years it will be rainforest on both sides. I think it will work.

I was just thinking to myself "that's almost as bad as Federation Square"!

I like it too, very modern. I think maybe it is meant to be an elephant's skin.

I had to check that Federal Square you keep referring to, and.........

Day 12, October 28, Melbourne

.... OH MY GOD, that is some scary architecture, as well!

Donīt get me wrong, I am a big fan of modern architecture in general, just that now and then I see stuff that makes me almost physically revolted....

It reminds me of wood that has had bugs burrow under the bark.
