Wow. Is this the biggest elephant house in the world?
    • Malayan Tapir
As far as I know it is, and I can't personally see anywhere beating this complex any time soon! :D

I think it is boring, they could put a waterfall and a pool or some trees.

I agree. I mean, seriously, what fool designs an elephant house without a waterfall in it?!
    • Malayan Tapir
Actually, to the left of this picture, there is infact a waterfall with quite a large pool attached to it at the bottom. (I'll attach a picture of it when I'm on the computer tonight).

Also, the entire outdoor exhibit is surrounded by a water barrier, which the elephants have access to, and is deeper than the actual height of an adult elephant

that reminds me of one of the threads on here (can't remember which one) in which there was a discussion of how zoo exhibit designers put waterfalls everywhere, however irrelevant and unnatural they may appear :D

      Apparently zoo visitors need waterfalls.

Maybe there's a hidden urge to exhibit Torrent Ducks in all of us....:)

I cannot help but be impressed, that is an awesome sight.

Me too, it does look similar to Chester's in a way.:)

In what way is it like Chester's as I'm, not seeing it and I have seen both the Houses in person!!
