Sad about the De Brazza. I have seen them on the tree in the electric fenced area of the island, but never seen them go anywhere past this area.
I suppose it's great though that one of the baby Gorilla's is a female!

I haven't seen them use the island at all but my visits are infrequent.

I suspect they're very pleased to have 1.1. young gorillas rather than 2.0.

I believe Colchester only have about 4 Liontailed Macaques nowadays(2.2)- at one time they had a larger group(around nine) but after weeding out all the extra males and sending them to France it didn't left many, while a couple of the older females later died. I hope the group can increase again though their outdoor enclosure is(was) horribly bare- just packed earth and a climbing frame when I last went.

But I was wrong about Bristol's Liontailed group- they haven't stripped the vegetation as much as I expected and there is some thick stuff/grasses still growing- it looks okay.
