Shaun Foggett the chap who was featured a while back in the news etc with crocodlies in his house in Witney,Oxon, has set up a "crocodile zoo" in
Crawley Mill ,Crawley Nr Witney. He has 11 crocodilian species on display plus a limited number of other reptiles. It is only open to the public on designated open days held throughout the year -the next is to be held on
Sunday 13th March. Visit the web site on- www.crocodilesoftheworld.co.uk. seems quite impressive on the web site.I await to see peoples views on the venture.

As mentioned, interesting idea in this country.

Not wishing to denigrate the chap as he gets started but to suggest that he is an expert on crocodilians because he has kept them for 10 years, and was invited to Denmark by a renowned crocodilian park as 'an expert' seems a bit of a stretch.

Going by the adoption form on the website, the 11 species are:

Some very nice species in there, including a few only-ones-on-display-in-Britain.

I would say Siamese crocodile would be the nicest species to see, but that's just my opinion :)

The problem with the 'open day' zoos is I can rarely make it on the actual day, with distant zoos having to wait until I'm holidaying in the area. I am lucky this year with the Kent trip giving a window of oppurtunity for RSCC.
