Glad it has restarted ... a very much undervalued iguana species. I am surprised some of the zoos in the EAZA region with attachment to the Caribbeans do not invest more resources into their husbandry and breeding.

Source? There are only three females, so if it specifically says 'three' then its all of them.

Durrrell announced it on Facebook, for those who don't have it:

Badongo, our Silverback Western Lowland Gorilla, is becoming quite the media star! Who would have thought a 13 year old 'frenchman' seen mating with 3 females would cause such media interest! Sarah, one of our Gorilla keepers, was talking to the BBC live on air this morning about all the recent 'activity'!

Its good news but only what one would expect from a competent mother-raised male. Maybe even the oldest female, Kishka, who has only ever had one baby in the past will become pregnant by him- hopefully there will soon be young in the group again.

Affirmative. One may expect such a course from now playing out.

Again: have the rhino iguanas left Jersey?

Have Jersey received a replacement for Mawar the female Sumatran orangutan? If it do they intend to? Thanks.

Yes, they have. After the old male died (in his late fourties I believe), the younger female was sent to another zoo.

Mawar went to Prague but Upita (who was supposed to go to Jersey in a straight swap) is still at Prague as she is unable to breed.
