I can tell you that the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in the United States utilizes a mesh called "invisinet" in many of their exhibits that is unbelievable. They have sold quantities of the mesh to other zoos, and so perhaps London has been a customer. This is just a hunch...

It might be Zoomesh. I worked at a zoo that used this in their newer exhibits and does wonders for the photography of the animals.

Another application for zoomesh is i believe used at Edinburgh zoo for their walk through lemur exhibit, which is open topped and the zoomesh is placed as the barrier all round the exhibit. The mesh being so fine that the lemurs (red ruffed and red fronted) cannot get a grip on the fence in any way and therefore safely confined.

thanks guys i have found what i was looking for. it is called zoomesh thanks for all your help. its a great mesh for use instead of a window. holes too small for fingers to go through and less cleaning. and cameras just focus through it.
