They have 1.2, I'll see about if I have anymore taken from above. It was opened this summer, not sure of cost.

Yes you can, it is better viewed from above then from the ground.

I think that the house and enclosure can best be described as 'functional'. It is perfectly adequate but modest. A simple fence has been errected around an already existing paddock and the house itself is 'agricultural'. It doesn't look like half a million's worth and like much of the more recent developments at Blackpool contrast quite starkly with the altogether more substantial infrastructure stemming from the park's inception. I was a little dissapointed.

I remember being there when it was being built up by the lions.

Is there plans to breed them, what species of giraffe, how old are they where they come from ??

Do you have any info who built it ??

According to ISIS they hold hybrids giraffes. They all came from Fota wildlife park.

The new enclosure seams to be basic and small especially the paddock, the area was previous home to vicuna and tapir , the vicuna now live with the markhor and the tapir have a smaller enclosure, apparently they may mix a species of gazzale with the giraffe.

It is probably more hopeful than reality. The area which houses the giraffes is the wettest, boggiest part of the zoo, and even with modifications it will never be dry and sandy for gazelles. The zoo's gazelles have been kept off display for years due to a health problem with keeping on the lush green grass.
