    Thought those in the UK may be interested in this.....

    For those who don't know Heythrop is a privately run zoo which is usually not open to the public. Many of the animals kept there are trained to work in the film industry.

    The zoo enclosures are very nicely designed and the zoo itself is also used for filming.

    I have visited before and it was a fantastic experience. :)

    Also a chance to see the only Polar Bear in England!

    Great picture newzooboy those animals look well looked after the Polar bear water looks so clean and the Addax and Zebra look to have a big area

    Wow looks amazing and would love to go there. The irony is that I ll be that day 12 miles from Heythrop but because of a wedding no chance of seeing the park :(

    Yes, tickets need to be pre-booked.

    I stand corrected have just checked the advert on the back page of the IZES zoograpevine you do need to book tickets.

    It seems that the collection has a wide variety! what is the animals sharing the enclosure with the polar bear?

    That will be an Asiatic Black Bear,there used to be to of them now theres only 1,but they now have a European Brown Bear in there as well now.
