They used to have a herd of Chapman's a long time ago which is why I thought the very old stallion was a remnant survivor of that group. I've seen him alone there, sometimes in a new paddock, on many visits over the years. For a long time he was in the Nile Lechwe paddock. Now he's in the one behind the waterfowl lake. The 2nd male has joined him since last year but the person I spoke to wasn't sure where this one came from..

As Noah's Ark Zoo farm expands I wonder if they will stick with their principle of not opening on a Sunday . I would have thought it is normally one of the busiest days of the week for a zoo .

The one I was talking about was the old one, Charlie, he has to have been at Whipsnade for at least 14 years. He was kept in the batchelor paddock which is opposite the Grevy's zebra, just before the entrance to the drive through asia.
