Sad Passing Of Amy's baby
Old 22-10-2008

Here is a email a fellow monkey world friend recieved a few days ago

"During the night, 19 October, Orang-utan Amy gave birth to a little girl. Sadly the news is not good and the infant was found dead this morning. While the baby was cleaned it was found dead and thus we do not know if the infant was still born or not.

Amy is doing well and is receiving loads of TLC from Animal Director, Jeremy Keeling."

Sad news for the orangutan breeding programme..but still life must go on

Aw, what a shame. Here's hoping for better luck in the near future.

I would have been amazed if Amy had proved to be a good mother , a real shame the baby was found dead .

That's very sad news Why didn't they use CCTV, or have Jeremy there, like they've done before and shown on the TV programmes?
