Twycross visit 13th July 2008
Old 12-07-2008

Dear All

The Bartlett Society is having an informal gathering at Twycross this Sunday. This will include Ivan Ellis, Chairman of their Trustees, giving us a presentation as to Twycross's history and development. Please feel free to email me via my zoobeat account, or email to our Society's website < Zoo History >, if you wish to say hi.

Regards, tall Paul from Chester.

As is usual for me I spent 'too' much time talking to friends and thus the day whiz by without me seeing everything, however, of what I did see my own highlights were: -
1) the pair of Tufted Deer (Elaphodus cephalophus) getting on well
2) several native Grey Wagtails in the Borneo Longhouse
3) the Dhole were active and exploring their enclosure
4) a Leopard looked at easy relaxing in the sunshine
Not much sign of new developments, however, with the new entrance expected to cost over ten million this lull may be understandable. Time will tell.
