Wolly Monkeys?
Old 20-05-2008

Some of us were talking in the monkeyworld forum recently and came to the conclusion we did not know where the old group of wolly monkeys that used to be house at howletts went???

"This later group arrived in the late 1990's, and were put into the right-hand side of a new monkey cage in Howlett's woods, adjacent to the Dusky langurs, which I think arrived the same time. Part of me thinks the Howlett's animals also originated from apenheul, but my memory is hazy on that one. Last time I saw them there was at least one infant, though it was possibly old enough to have arrived with the group. I cannot work out why they were gone within maybe 5 or 6 years."

does anyone know what happened to them?
