Sorry if this has already been asked but I have just moved into the area and I am looking somewhere to hang out. I used to be in Plymouth and went to the aquarium there ALL the time.

I am looking for somewhere within an hour's drive and cost of getting in is equal or less than petrol (if I were to visit more than three times)

Any help of what is out there would be fantastic.

    Thanks

The only place I can think of in about an hours drive would be the small, but perfectly formed, Bristol Zoo. If you're prepard to drive an hour and a half to get somewhere, you'd bring in the worthy options of Exmoor Zoo and Paignton Zoo (together with the smaller Shaldon Zoo & Living Coasts). There's also Monkey World within a similar distance.

I think Longleat might also be about an hour.

I am a big lover of Tropiquaria where zoo enthusiasts are assured of a warm welcome. I have been to Noah's Ark only once and I liked it too whatever anyone else thinks of it!

Thanks everyone. I am tempted getting a year pass for Longleat but not sure how long in the area, we will see and I will keep searching
