Marine parks/Aquariums in gallery..?
Old 03-02-2008

Hello Sim, Admins...

I went to a Marine mammal park and Aquarium down in Napier over the last few days and took heaps of photos...

Are these types of places included under zoobeat..?

Can I post the photos in the 'other NZ zoos' gallery..?

Regards,

Jeremy

I include all wild animal collections in "zoo" -- real zoos, aquariums, bird parks

Anyway, Sim himself has put Aquarium photos in the gallery so it must be OK

I say include everything!! Places like San Diego Seaworld and Monterey Bay Aquarium contain terrific exhibits and are award-winning establishments. Even smaller, less popular aquariums should be counted in any kind of discussion of captive wildlife.

Cool thanks for that guys I've added the photos of (the quite bad) Marineland, some of the first Dolphinaria images on the site I think, here:

http://www.zoobeat.com/gallery/showp...o=2582&cat=553

Here is the wikipedia page (which must be neutral) which I have written (most) of:

Marineland, Napier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I hope to do a review of this place in the next few days and will add the photos of (the quite spectacular) National Aquarium of New Zealand soon + a review...
