Can there be a gallery in the North American section for the Los Angeles Zoo? I take lots of pics of the LA zoo almost every week and would love to post them in a gallery.

Thanks

Mario

THANKS TO THE GREAT SIM FOR CREATING SO MANY NEW PHOTO GALLERIES TODAY!!!!!

Do you want us to point out which photos have been missed from the new galleries (left in the "other" sections), or is it still a work in progress?

Sorry for the delay in responding to all the requests.

I'm a bit annoyed that you all chose the busiest time of year for me (June) to get all enthusiastic with uploading new photos

Most of my big deadlines have passed now and things are starting to settle down a bit. I've spent the last 2 days adding new photo galleries and moving photos into them.

However, I can't move photos which aren't labelled in the title (I can only see titles when I do my "bulk move" operations, I can't see descriptions). So if you have photos which need to be moved into the new galleries, can you please either move them yourself, or else go through and label them with the zoo name in the title and let me know - then I can move them for you.

I'll add a few more discussion forums too ... I think we're almost getting to the point of needing one gallery and one forum for every zoo worldwide!!

... and I haven't even uploaded most of my own zoo photos yet - I have several thousand photos from about 30 different zoos

Looks like the Zoobeat forum is growing so much, more members and more input. Also great to see so many new photos being uploaded from so many zoos world wide.

Sim, we are looking forwards to seeing all your new photos soon, some are from South America as well?

Yes, I have photos from Buenos Aires Zoo and from various wildlife sanctuaries and national parks.

Unfortunately the day we were planning on visiting Santiago Zoo was the one day of the week it was closed

and not wishing to be a pain or anything, but could you make yet another gallery for me pretty please? One for Kula Eco-Park (Fiji) in the section for zoos from other parts of the world. 15 of the 23 photos in the "other zoos" there are from Kula but I don't think I put it in any of their titles, so if there was a gallery for them I could move them all myself.

The enormous volume of galleries that have been added is amazing to see. Sim has done a magnificent job of adding tons of new zoos to the list, creating different sections for countries (like Canada!) and he's already added over ten zoos that no one has even taken photos of yet. I will be adding photos in their hundreds for many North American zoos around the end of August. ZooBeat has become a terrific resource for photos and information, as well as a great place to meet people and discuss animals and zoos.

Honestly I think there are way too many discussion forums now, which makes the board very unclear. My opinion is that only big zoos and those about which members write a lot should have seperate discussion forums, but zoos like Grömitz, birdpark Heiligenkirchen, birdpark Niendorf, Chemnitz, many of the hungarian zoos, or the small uk zoos about which no one has written anything yet or just one or two topics (Shaldon, Mole Hall wildlife park, Exmoor zoo ect. ) should not have their own forum.

Just my opinion of course - and thanks for the great work Sim, I love zoo beat!
