I have never seen a live one in the wild, but have seen several dead at the side of the road, much in the manner that one sees badgers which have been hit by cars in Europe. Where would one would set about finding a civet in the exotic pet trade? A quick google search reveals only a few rather implausible sounding 'dealers' from several years ago. Not that I fancy a pet civet, mind you, but out of interest...
