Ree Park - Sand cat exhibit

One of the three netted desert exhibits that make up the breeding centre for Arabian sand cats in Ree Park - Ebeltoft Safari, Denmark. Quite nice little exhibits. The sand cats here are imported from a private zoo in Quatar and have already bred. August 2009

Lush, naturalistic outdoor exhibits for tiny cats? I love it!!:)

Although isn't the climate too humid for sand cats? I've heard that's normally the rule in Europe and that it can cause bad respiratory problems.

As far as I know the animals are in good health. Ree Park is a quality institution in regards to animal welfare. But I do know that the cats spend a large amount of time indoors when the weather is humid. I am not sure exactly how it works so don't take my word for it

Looks fantasticc, although I imagine the tiny cats are hard to see (?)

They are indeed. I have been to Ree Park four times since this exhibit opened in 2007 and have seen the cats twice. You just have to be lucky. If they are not up and running about you have no chance as they can completely disappear whenever they want to in this exhibit.
