Spectacled bear, April 2013

This is on the old Bear Castle; within a day or two of my having taken the picture, the last bear had left the structure. Much as I love old zoo buildings, and feel that they are sometimes replaced too readily, this moving on has come several decades too late - the bear accommodation here was really rather grim.
