The Bonsai Pavilion @ Budapest Zoo

This fine display of bonsai trees is the National Bonsai Collection which has been exhibited at Budapet Zoo since 1998, and this is the first type collection like this in Europe. The bulk of these ’small trees’ were arrived to the zoo by means of the international connections with Japan. The collection consists of mainly Far Eastern species, but native species also exhibited there. The exhibition is composed of more than 55 specimens, and You can see them on the eastern edge of the Japanese Garden.
