      This appears to be a rare example of a situation where a zoo has turned a playground into an exhibit, rather than the common turn-an-exhibit-into-a-playground trick.

      Japanese macaques inhabit this enclosure that was reportedly built in 1927. My gut reaction to this photo is that the exhibit is an abomination that has no place in the modern world of zoo habitats, but I'm sure that certain members of the public find it cute. If I never see a monkey inside of a fake lighthouse then I think that I'll still be able to sleep well at night.
