I see the leopard, but I won't spoil the surprise for others. I'm shocked at how long the glass viewing windows are, which would be fantastic in the busy summer season.

      That looks brilliant!

      Nice!
What is behind that cemented wall ?:D I hope this leopard will never escape to sveden woods.

WOW! Few zoos keep leopards in open-topped enclosures with such TALL trees! Great enrichment, great viewing, but I echo Ciololo's thoughts ...

Wow!!! It took me a while to find it, but when I did find it I was surprised!

I would not have found it without this clue - would not have thought to look up there. That is unbelievable - I would love to get a shot like that (zoomed in a little closer, of course).

Behind that concrete wall is it a resturant. It has been leopards in this enclosure as long as I can remember, so at least since the late 1990' and no leopard has ever escaped from there (as far as I've heard...). Even though it's a small forest area behind the enclosure it's quite long to the nearest tree outside the wall. So I'm not worried at all about the escape risk.

Snowleopard: Yes, the glass windows are quite nice, but since he (the leopard) mostly spend his day up in a tree like this, the are quite unnecessary. Unfortunaly, this also make him quite hard to spot, just imagine this tree with all the leaves in the summer, so many visitors tend to miss him. But if you know about this, it's just great to him up there :) EDIT: Picture added of him up in a tree summertime; http://www.zoochat.com/473/leopard-tree-70097/

I am totally OK with this. If I visited this zoo and could not see the leopard I would still take great pleasure in knowing that he would probably be resting comfortably somewhere up there in the trees.

Are all the trees available to him? No hotwire?

Also - I just LOVE to see examples of the fact that enclosures for climbing cats must not necessarily have a mesh top.

Wow, that's amazing! And to think how few captive leopards actually get a chance to do that. Bet He's a nightmare to get back inside at night though.
