The enclosure for fishing cats in the Asian pavillion in Parken Zoo, Sweden. They only have this indoor enclosure. Fortunately it is quite large.
June 2006
I really like this enclosure. Since this summer (2008) clouded leopards (Neofelis nebulosa) are kept here instead and the fishing cats were sent to Germany.
Before the fishing cats came in 2003 it's have been used as home for leopards and when the buildning was new in the end of the last century (that's really sounds like a long time ago ) it was used as an indoor enclosure for the white tigers.
So...white tigers, leopards, fishing cats and clouded leopards have made this enclosure their home. It must be filled with all types of stinky cat scent!
This is the greatest indoor exbith fore cats (big/ small) in Sweden. When the Sumatran Tiger "Tornado" came in the spring 2008, I hope , she lived here, but, she lived in a not publich , little in door exbith. (You can see here:YouTube - Sumatratigern Tornado träffar Bagus, Parken Zoo)
