The majority of the zoo\'s large group of Collared Peccary live in the front enclosure, with a smaller number in the one behind.

the one behind is now the Brazilian tapir, is it not?
    • Astrobird
no, technically, that is the enclosure beside, this photo is taken from the end of the enclosure, so yes, behind the bamboo shown would be the Tapir enclosure, but the 'behind the scenes' enclosure would be to the RHS of this photo..... if that makes sense

Yes, as Astrobird says, the low wall visible to the right of the bamboo is the front of a second peccary enclosure (presumably originally one enclosure divided into two). The tapir enclosure is behind both the bamboo and the second peccary enclosure (which can only be viewed by looking over the first peccary enclosure).

And I think somewhere behind the Brazilian Tapir and Peccary exhibits is the off-display Malayan Tapir enclosure, but I'm not quite sure exactly where.

by "the enclosure behind" I thought the reference was to the enclosure to the rear of the photo. So just ignore my original question.
