A new general thread for people to post with wants and swaps for particular zoo guidebooks: Post a want (or two) and what your willing to swap in exchange. To start off..

I would like: West Mids 2005 (White Tiger cover) and Chester 1996/1997 guides (elephants cover)

I will swap in exchange: Too many to list - PM with what your looking for in exchange and I'll see if I have it/can find it

    Happy swapping :)

As many you know, I have a particular love of Tierpark Berlin and the zooguides produced by this collection throughout the years. In my eyes they represent an important historical record, not only from a zoo point of view but from a socio-political point of view, as one would expect of a collection sited within what, for many decades, was a city divided.

I currently own 35 guidebooks for Tierpark Berlin, of the 49 which were produced prior to their being discontinued for the forseeable future by the current Director. Of the remainder, I am picking them up whenever I can afford to, having sourced all but one.

The one I have been unable to source, and which I would be interested to hear about if any Zoochatters have a copy they would be happy to part with, is the 45th Edition (2009) which has Alpine Chamois on the front cover.

As for what I would swap in exchange, I've got a pretty good collection of zooguides and therefore a PM with any collections or guidebooks which are particularly desired might be the best option :)

I can offer you the chamois edition guide and some more-what other editions do you need ?

I'm still looking for Georgia Aquarium 2005 and 2006-both with Beluga Whale on cover, so if you have them or can help me to get one of them or both...

By the way-the 2013 edition with gerenuk cover will be the last guidebook for the Tierpark-the current director dosen't like books and will not produce anymore guidebooks or the magazines"Bongo"and"Milu".Sad, but true.

Is there anybody who can get a copy of the current Field Guidebook of Toronto Zoo for me ?

Of course for payment, but I also have a lot of international Guidebooks, old and new, for exchange. Please PM me.

    Thank you!
