Mountain View Conservation Centre in Langley, British Columbia. Photo taken on May 25th, 2008.

Not the best photo, but this male golden cat is apparently the only one of his kind in the entire western hemisphere.

Yes, the last golden cat in the United States died a few years ago at Cincinnati Zoo. Too bad American zoos did not maintain this species. However, there seem to be several in Asian and Australian zoos (and a few in Europe).
