Probably one of the best lion exhibits in North America, and this 2004 set of exhibits is arguably the most impressive part of the Denver Zoo.

Yes this is a wonderful exhibit, although I would like it better if it had a few prey items in a similarly designed nearby exhibit, such as the gerenuk or zebras which occupy older enclosures elsewhere in the zoo.

And what do we see?! A huge natural exhibit and where sleep the lions? On the concrete :D

Denver's Master Plan includes just such a panorama, both to the right and left of the current exhibit. Asian Tropics needs to be built first, so it will be a while.

Great exhibit! It is always nice to see rocks copying some real geology, rather than generic shapes of concrete.

While not terrible, the rockwork in this exhibit is far from the best out there: gates and doors clearly visible; obvious connections to concrete moats and walls, etc. But still. all in all a very good exhibit

Denver Zoo's master plan shows a large savannah exhibit that will be connected to Predator Ridge. In the description there will be a place for many african hove stock, Cheetah, and under water hippo viewing area. I guess they did the predators first because it was a more crucial need.

Do you know what kind of hoofstock they plan to obtain?

The description showed Zebra, Giraffe, Cape Buffalo, Wildebeest, Impala or some gazelle, Ostrich, ..................

The rest pretty average, but Cape buffalo... thats exciting
