Is this an effective tunnel to view the sealions from? I'm a huge fan of such constructions, as it allows zoo visitors to engage with captive animals in a unique and exciting way. Underwater tunnels are costly but also massively popular at zoos and aquariums, and I'm glad to see that Colchester have got one through their pinniped pool.
This is an effective tunnel to view the sealions from, and I took some photos of them from inside the tunnel, but didn't post any into the gallery as they weren't as good as the ones from the windows in the underground area. It was a joy to see them swimming above and alongside the tunnel, and I agree that it is a worthwhile addition to any sealion pool if a zoo has the funds available.
