      Is there now any natural substrate within the indoor section? I still am not a fan of the new orangutan church but seeing an ape 80 feet in the air must have been a thrill.

      I think this answers your question. And it certainly was. If I didn't live 20 minutes away from the nearest Sumatran Rhino, and if I didn't swim with a dolphin in Indy then seeing an orangutan that high and above me would be my greatest animal experience.

      Is that line running around the house the only outdoor part they have?

      The whole exhibit doesn't impress me, this indoor exhibit has so much waisted space that could be used very well for an arboreal species.

      I also wonder how an orang utan feels, being a forest animal, out in the open high in the air with no shade and things to eat...
