This tank debuted 20 years ago (1989), and is a huge hit with visitors. Having multiple species of shark all in the same area is pretty cool, even though the tank and the outside area is fairly barren.

This is high on my list (if I had one) of favorite aquarium tanks. Only the front is lit, so animals disappear into the darkness beyond and reappear. It appears HUGE and must like deep water where there would be no coral and no plants. There is a small vertical tank to one side that has smaller fish and you look right through that one and see the sharks and large fish go by as though they were all together. This exhibit is brilliant in my opinion.
