      I think that might be the one aquarists call the "pearl ray", which is a Potamotrygon species but which doesn't appear to be named yet (?)

      EDIT: wait till condor comes along: he's up to date with all the minutae of fish taxonomy.

      Potamotrygon sp. 'Pearl Ray' is the name they're sold by on wholesaler lists.

      in reply to your pm: This is indeed a "Pearl", an undescribed species of Potamotrygon native to the southeastern Amazon basin (Tapajos) in Brazil.
