WOW. It is too bad that his upbringing (Stuttgart nursery and then bachelor group) made sure he will never breed.

Every so often you come across a male Gorilla which really stands out. The first outstanding one I saw was 'Migger' of the Basel Zoo- a real beauty! Kumbuka's great grandfather(mother's side) was the famous Jambo of Jersey Zoo and 'Migger' was Jambo's younger brother, but very different-looking in appearance. He went to La Palmyre in France and one of his sons there (Mike) is similarly impressive. Kumbuka reminds me rather of him too.
