Zoo Car Park, 30 January 2015

Not a good day to get your satellite dish fixed. There were 9 Sky vans in the car park while the Sky staff were making tyre balls for the rhinos. It was quite amusing to see a crocodile of them being led round the zoo in their high-viz jackets. They were much better behaved, and supervised, than some of the school groups who visit.

What is the link between Sky, and their staff making enrichment for Rhinos? A publicity thing?

I imagine it's a Team Building opportunity for Sky with a bit of publicity thrown in - it features on the zoo's Facebook page. There have been similar occasions eg gym members and Royal Marines building climbing frames.

It's possible that Team Building is an annual event for Sky. One morning a couple of years ago, our road was almost bumper to bumper with Sky vans as the men played football on a nearby sports field. The police had to come and sort out the ensuing traffic problems.
