A leucistic Giraffe in the wild : Wild Nature Institute Blog - Wild Nature Institute ( have there ever been leucistic Giraffes in captivity ? )
I saw a very white Rothschild's giraffe with very dark markings at Prague Zoo in 2009. It was the most unusual giraffe I've ever seen.
I was wondering about leucistic giraffes. How many have been recorded? I know of Omo, a female at Tarangire National Park, Tanzania in 2015. The mother and calf at Ishaqbini Hirola Conservancy, Kenya in 2017. Captive individuals at Milwaukee Zoo and possibly Denver Zoo. It's hard to find information about them. If anyone knows any others, or knows the current status of any of these animals, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks.
