Think its some sort of Agamid...

Located in a small terrarium near the Insect museum.

well it is most likely to be a locally-caught lizard, and I'm going to guess at it being a young Green Crested Lizard (Bronchocela cristatella), despite the obvious objection of it not being green.

The body shape doesn't match the Changeable Lizard (Calotes versicolor) at all, nor the Earless Dragon (Aphaniotis fusca) which is the third Singaporean agamid.

Thanks Chlidonias, that was the logic I was using as well, but then it didn't look particularly green - the photos I saw of it look very bright green.

yeah, I've only seen bright green ones in real life (they are no longer common in Singapore since the Calotes took over the island, but they can still be found). However I googled and it turned out they can turn brown when threatened or aroused. However (again) the photos of them in brown is very much not the shade of brown in your photo.

Oh wait, I have a reptile book for southeast Asia on the shelf. I may be back soon!

no, that didn't help. I still think it is a Bronchocela though.
